October in Ms. Healy’s went from all things Space to all things Spooky! We learned all about planet earth, space and astronauts and then moved on to explore different Halloween characters and traditions. We enjoyed Maths Week activities, a visit from an historian, learned new songs during music class and made chocolate Witches Hats. It culminated in our spooktacular Witches Walk…..what a busy month! Our school football team, who reached the shield semi final before the Halloween break. They lost to Ballymacarbry after a great battle. They now look forward to the mini sevens after the break.

All the pupils enjoyed a spooktacular day in school last Friday. The pupils and staff dressed up and the entire school went on a Witches Walk around the town, singing as they went. Thanks to all who contributed to our fundraiser. A fantastic day was had by all. We hope everyone enjoys the break. (more…)
Second Class have been enjoying exploring the story of ‘Room on the Broom’ for Halloween and particularly enjoyed sequencing the story using a beautifully created story sack. (more…)
