Ms. Quinn’s Fourth Class

Ms. Quinn’s Class have been learning all about procedural writing. They put some of these procedures into practise last week by making a Kerry Apple Cake. They thoroughly enjoyed their time in our school kitchen and were able to use produce from our own school orchard. The finished product was delicious!!! (more…)


Music Generation

Music Generation is back! Music Generation Waterford is part of Music Generation, Ireland’s National Performance Music Education Programme. It aims to create access to performance music education for every child in Waterford City and County. We at St. Mary’s are very fortunate to be involved in this programme. The junior classes are participating in music appreciation classes and our Senior classes have the opportunity to learn to play the ukulele. All our students are thoroughly enjoying the classes with Colin, Chloe and Chris. (more…)

School Athletics

Last Friday heralded the long awaited return of school athletics. West Waterford A.C. held long distance races for 2nd to 6th classes. We had a great turnout on the evening and the girls enjoyed their first taste of athletics this year. (more…)


Ms. Carroll-Lawler’s Senior Infant Class

Senior Infants have been working extremely hard since their return to school at the beginning of September. They celebrated Dot Day with a story, a song, art and other related activities. They are very proud of their work displayed on the Wow Wall. They worked so hard, their teacher felt they deserved a Popcorn Party…what a treat!
