For the next month, the children and staff of St Mary’s Primary School will be taking part in a variety of activities to promote Wellbeing. Our Student Council along with the help of the classes, have come up with some wonderful ideas. There will be many fun days ahead over the next couple of weeks.
The first activity was Fluffy Friday. The children came to school dressed in fluffy socks and fluffy jumpers. All of the children felt cosy and warm all day.
An air of contentment and fun filed the school. Well Done to the Student Council and Mrs Barry.

The excitement for Christmas has almost reached fever pitch in St Mary’s Primary School. The boys and girls have been busy this week; practising for our Carol Service, playing volleyball, going to the cinema aswell as engaging in arts and crafts activities. The children and staff of St Marys participated in Wear Red to work day in aid of the Lions Club. It is a worthy fundraiser and the staff generously contributed to the charity.
Mrs Barry’s 1st Class had a lovely surprise Snowman Pancake Breakfast. The boys and girls enjoyed creating and most importantly eating their snowmen. They also made sure our principal Ms Veale, Teresa Daly and Chris Mulcahy got to sample the goods.! A fun start to December .
The Junior Infant Classes put on an amazing performance of Ralph the Reindeer for their parents. The children performed a dress rehearsal for the other classes and staff and they were amazing. The Junior Infants just stole the stage. Their hard work , big smiles and brilliant singing made their parents and teachers very proud. Well Done boys and girls, you kicked of Christmas in the most amazing way.
Just before Midterm Break the very excited children of St Mary’s primary School paraded through the town of Dungarvan dressed in their Halloween costumes. Tiny witches, ghosts, superheroes and pumpkins sang and skipped along the footpaths while their proud parents offered waves of encouragement. there was great fun had by all and the magic of Halloween filled the air. It was a spooktacular ocassion!
