Sixth Class Debating Team

Our sixth class girls were successful in their first zoom debate this year. They were up against a team from St. Mary’s CBS Clonmel. The girls opposed the motion “Tik Tok has caused more harm than good to young people’s confidence”. Congratulations and best of luck for the next one.  (more…)


Rinka

We were delighted to welcome Aoife from Rinka, who paid us a visit last Friday. Rinka is a children’s fitness programme that is non-competitive and just for fun. Some of our classes received a taster session, and had a whole lot of fun taking part in stretching exercises, obstacle courses and team games. Thank you Aoife and we hope to see you again. (more…)


Summer Stars

Fun Times

GOAL Jersey Day

One of our most popular days of the year took place last Friday…GOAL Jersey Day. The school was awash with colour as everyone donned their favourite jersey. There was much talk about who supported what team and what each crest looked like. The aim was to raise money for the charity GOAL, who provide much needed assistance to those who need it most around the globe. A massive €399.60 was raised on the day. First Holy Communion

Our third class girls finally got to celebrate their First Holy Communion. Mrs. Barry and Ms. McGrath had prepared the girls in the lead up to their special day. There was great excitement as they had a half day from school in order to get ready at home. They girls enjoyed a lovely ceremony in the church and they all looked beautiful. The following day, the girls were treated to a party in school and got to celebrate together. Congratulations girls! (more…)


Soccer Coaching

Sixth Class Maths Stations

International Dot Day

International Dot Day was celebrated here in St. Marys. “The Dot” is an inspiring story of a girl who believes that she cannot draw and simply draws a dot on a page. Encouraged by her teacher, she becomes an artist and uses “the dot” as her muse. Having explored the story, pupils were asked to create their own piece of art. We were blown away with the originality and creativity of our pupils. (more…)
