The preliminary round of the Mini 7s took place recently in Stradbally GAA pitch. The girls performed superbly on the day reaching the final, beating Coolnasmear and Garranbane along the way. All the girls gave 100%, but unfortunately were beaten in the final by 2 points. They can be very proud of their efforts and look forward to the 15 a side competition.
The TY students of Ard Scoil and 6th Class pupils of St. Mary’s recently worked on a Religious Education Project together. The TY students visited St. Mary’s on 3 occasions and on the last day 6th Class went to the Ard Scoil where they created an art project and enjoyed tea and buns! A very worthwhile exercise.

It is important to engage in other general activities such as reading daily, board games, art and craft, play, exercise, baking, gardening, mental and social maths.
International Women’s Day is a day for celebrating the achievements of women and a calling for gender equality. It is celebrated each year on the 8th of March and St. Mary’s PS celebrated this day on Friday, 6th of March, by inviting some local women in to talk to the senior girls about their careers and the path to fulfilling their careers.
