As we prepare to embark on a new school year; we must, unfortunately, say goodbye to two longstanding staff members who have retired this year.
Maeve Gildea has been teaching for 36 years in total, spending half that time in St. Mary’s PS. and the other half in Castlelyons NS. She has contributed to all aspects of life in our school and, in particular, her contribution to music has been immense. Her legacy will live on for many years to come. Maeve will be sorely missed by all, but we wish her health and happiness as she embarks on her new adventure.
Betty Daly also retired this year. Betty has looked after us all for many years in St. Mary’s PS, keeping the place looking fantastic. Betty’s sunny disposition and chats will certainly be missed by all. We wish you many years of health and happiness Betty.
