As part of Kindness Day, we decided to spread kindness within our community. Third class chose to send letters to the residents of Dunabbey House Nursing Home.
Each girl wrote a letter to a resident and decorated their envelopes with bright colours and beautiful pictures. Ms. Kiely was on postwoman duty and hand delivered them. The residents were delighted with this kind gesture from the girls. Photos were sent back to the class of everyone opening their letter. To follow this up, a zoom call was organised between the girls and the residents. It was so nice to see the interaction between young and old. A big thank you to Máire Casey for liaising with us on this very worthwhile initiative.
