Busy Beginnings for the ASD Class

Updated: 13th Oct 2019

September was all about getting to know one another and settling into our new class.

We enjoyed lots of sensory fun.

Here we are exploring some sensory boxes which included cous cous, lentils and split peas. We had great fun filling, pouring, scooping, squeezing and getting stuck in!

We checked out the sand pit during one of our scheduled sensory breaks. Lots of fun!

Our first theme of October was Autumn. We worked on Autumn playdough mats and found lots of Autumn related things in our sensory boxes.

We also painted some Autumn leaves on trees.

We listened to and sang Autumn songs and really enjoyed our sensory tuff tray based on the Autumn story, ‘Don’t Hog the Hedge!’

‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ was our story for this week. We decided to sensory walk through this story. Lots of messy fun was had!
