Playing with friends when out and about is an important part of growing up for most children and young adults.
Getting exercise is one of the benefits along with exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays. UV rays help the body produce vitamin D which is needed for general health.
However, UV exposure is also linked to an increased risk of skin cancer. For this reason, it is important to educate children about how to enjoy the outdoors while protecting their skin from the sun.
