Autism Acceptance Week

Updated: 3rd May 2022

As part of Autism Acceptance Week, My Canine Companion paid us a visit.

My Canine Companion is an Irish charity that provides service dogs to people with disabilities, predominantly autism. Faith Tutty kindly gave a talk to the fourth, fifth and sixth class pupils. She spoke about autism and the incredible work that this charity does and the difference it makes to people’s lives. She even brought along her furry friends; Alva, Genie, Elton and Fia. Ms. Carroll-Lawler’s class got the opportunity to walk and cuddle the dogs and puppies. A massive thanks to all the volunteers and Faith for such a wonderful day.

Ms. Solich’s class completed activities as part of Autism Acceptance Week.

Rainbow Colours and a Rainbow Disco for Autism Acceptance Week.

We would like to say a massive thanks to Ms. Carroll-Lawler for organising a fantastic Autism Acceptance Month and appreciate all the effort she put into it.
